The numerical control plasma cutting machine uses the plasma arc to penetrate the surface of the material to achieve the cutting effect. Considering the shape of the plasma arc and the material penetration step, the plasma arc often cuts more metal from the upper part of the slit, so that the end surface of the slit is slightly inclined, the upper edge It is generally square but sometimes slightly rounded. The problem that may be caused here is the distance of the two cutting faces caused by the cutting beam at the upper edge of the slit. In the case where the upper edge of the slit is melted, the distance between the two cutting faces immediately below the molten layer is abnormal.

According to the experience of research and development of Xiangshuo CNC for many years, the slit width of plasma arc cutting is 1.5 to 2 times wider than that of oxygen acetylene cutting. As the thickness of the plate increases, the width of the slit increases. For stainless steel or aluminum with a thickness of 25mm or less, it can be cut with a small current plasma arc. The straightness of the slit is very high, especially for cutting the sheet with a thickness of 8mm or less. It can cut small corners or even without processing. Direct soldering, which is difficult to obtain with high current plasma arc cutting. This facilitates the cutting of irregularities of the sheet and the cutting of irregular holes.

The flatness of the cutting surface refers to the highest point and the lowest point on the cutting surface of the measured part, and the distance between two parallel lines in the direction of the inclination of the cutting surface.

There is a molten layer of about 0.25 to 3.80 mm thick on the surface of the plasma arc slit, but the chemical composition of the surface of the slit is not changed. For example, when a magnesium alloy containing 5% of Mg is cut, although there is a 0.25 mm thick molten layer, the composition is not changed, and no oxide is present. A dense weld can also be obtained if the cutting surface is directly welded. When the stainless steel is cut, since the heated zone quickly passes through the critical temperature of 649 ° C, the chromium carbide does not precipitate along the grain boundary. Therefore, cutting the stainless steel with a plasma arc does not affect its corrosion resistance.
