How to improve urea utilization

Urea contains 46% nitrogen, which is the most commonly used high-quality nitrogen fertilizer in production. However, the utilization rate of urea after being applied to the soil is usually only 45% to 50%. So how do you improve the utilization of urea?

Deep application. Whether urea is used as a base fertilizer or as a top dressing, it should be applied in deep soil, and the depth of fertilization is 10~12 cm. The deep application of urea can significantly improve the utilization rate. According to the test, the urea is applied or applied shallowly 2~3 cm, the utilization rate is only 30%; the fertilization depth is 5 cm, the utilization rate is 45%; the deep application is 10-20 cm, and the utilization rate is up to 65%.

Early application. Urea belongs to the ammonium amide fertilizer. It can not be directly absorbed by the crop after being applied to the soil. It needs to be converted into ammonium nitrogen in the soil to be absorbed by the root system. The application time is too late, which is not only harmful to the fertilizer effect, but also may cause The crops are late and ripe.

Foliar application. The urea molecule is small in volume and easily absorbed by the leaves, and is the most suitable fertilizer for foliar application. Foliar spray is highly targeted, fast in absorption, free from soil environmental factors, high in nutrient utilization, and low in fertilization, and significant in yield increase, especially in poor soil environment, excessive water or drought, and soil over-acid or When alkali causes the absorption of roots to be impeded and the crops need nitrogen nutrients urgently and the root activity declines in the late stage of crop growth, foliar application can make up for the deficiency of root fertilizer.

Apply in combination with other fertilizers. Urea should be combined with organic fertilizer, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer and trace element fertilizer to maintain soil nutrient balance, maximize nutrient utilization and increase fertilizer production.
