Turbine flow meter for the analysis of the media

Turbine flowmeters have stringent requirements for the medium being measured:

1. Turbine flowmeters are generally used only for low-viscosity single-phase fluids
Through the practical application and verification of turbine flowmeters, when measuring low-viscosity media, the meter factor hardly changes with the flow rate. When the viscosity of the measured medium increases, the linearity of the turbine flowmeter becomes very poor. The meter factor will also change greatly with the change in flow rate, making it difficult to achieve the required measurement accuracy. When the medium to be measured is gas-liquid two-phase flow, the flow rate of the medium will become very unstable, resulting in a large measurement error.

2. The medium fluid measured with turbine flowmeter should be in turbulent state

According to the flow characteristics of the turbine flow meter, it can be seen that when the medium is in the laminar flow state, the meter coefficient changes greatly with the change of the flow rate. When the medium is in the turbulent flow state, the meter coefficient does not change with the flow rate. In order to ensure the measurement accuracy of the turbine flow meter, the measured medium should be in a turbulent state.

3, turbine flowmeter is generally only used to measure the cleanliness of the medium
At present, the bearings of most turbine flowmeters are ball bearings and therefore have high requirements on the cleanliness of the measured medium. If the media contains particulate impurities, the bearings will wear quickly, if there is fiber impurities will be wrapped around the turbine blades, affecting the normal rotation of the turbine. In practical applications, an effective filter should be installed upstream of the turbine flowmeter.

The quality of the cap is directly related to the long-term safe and reliable operation of the pressure vessel.
