1. Advantages of laser welding plastic
With the increasing use of high-power fiber laser plastic welding systems in the design and manufacture of parts for automobiles, medical equipment and electronics, plastics can fully meet the needs of fast, effective and clean plastics in the processing of plastic products, high-power fibers. At present, the plastic welding techniques commonly used in the domestic market mainly include vibration friction welding, hot plate plastic welding and ultrasonic welding. The basic principle of laser welding plastics is that two plastics are clamped together under low pressure. The laser passes through one product and is absorbed by another product. The product that absorbs laser energy converts light energy into heat energy. The surface melts to form a weld zone.
Commonly used welding methods are:
a. The laser beam is quickly scanned along the weld to achieve the purpose of welding.
b. The laser beam is shaped by the optical element while generating heat at the weld.
c. Irradiation mask welding, the laser beam only heats the part of the product that is not covered by the mask, and can quickly weld complex welds.
d. The laser beam is fixed and the plastic workpiece is placed on a multi-dimensional movable table controlled by the program.
