Bangpu Company: 230 Million Waste Battery Renewals Every Year

Hunan Bangpeng Cycling Technology Co., Ltd., which recycles used batteries, held the foundation stone laying ceremony of the second phase in Ningxiang the day before yesterday. After the project is completed and put into operation, Bangpu will become one of the world's largest suppliers of battery material precursors, and Dahe West will build China's first model demonstration base for the production of clean batteries.

According to reports, since the Phase I project of Bangpu Hunan Base was put into operation, it has been operating at full capacity for more than 8 months. The total investment of Phase II Project of Hunan Bangpu Cycle is 100 million yuan and the construction period is 8 months. The main product is nickel-cobalt-manganese hydroxide, a kind of battery material with large power and stable performance. The designed annual production capacity is 3,000 tons. The estimated annual production value of the project will exceed 300 million yuan. The second phase project is expected to be put into operation next year. The first and second phases of the project allow 7,000 tons of used batteries to be regenerated each year, which is equivalent to making 230 million mobile phone batteries “green” and regenerating, ranking first in Asia. After the recycling of used batteries, the total annual production capacity of the ternary precursor battery materials will exceed 4000 tons.
