How to prevent apple mildew before flowering

Symptoms: The disease is mainly harmful to the fruit, causing fruit heart rot and early shedding. The fruit suffers from the ventricle and gradually spreads out. The fruit of the disease is brown, full of gray-green mold, sometimes pink and mildew. During the storage process, when the heart mold is developed, the watery, brown, and irregularly shaped wet plaques can be seen in the crotch of the fruit. The plaques can be connected to each other to form a piece. Finally, the whole fruit rots and the flesh tastes bitter. The diseased fruit has occasional yellowish fruit, fruit shape or early coloration on the tree, but the general symptoms are not obvious and are not easy to find.

Characteristics of the disease: Most of the mildew bacteria are weak parasitic bacteria, which survive in many parts such as apple branches and buds. They can also survive on the diseased fruit or necrotic tissue on the tree and in the soil. The source of the pathogen is very extensive. In the spring of the second year, the infection began to spread. The bacteria colonized the flower head first, and then colonized on the stigma. After the flower fell, the germ spread from the style to the interosseous tissue and then into the ventricle, causing the fruit to develop. The diseased fruit is easy to fall off, and some of the mildewed fruit is taken into the storage tank due to the appearance of asymptomatic, and will continue to be mildewed in case of suitable conditions.

Control methods: (1) Strengthening cultivation management At any time, the diseased fruit is removed, the fruit is collected, the soil is ploughed in autumn, and various dead fruits and dead branches on the tree are cut in winter, which are beneficial to reduce the bacterial source.

(2) Pharmacy treatment Before the germination, spray 5 waves of melamine sulfur mixture and 0.3% of 80% sodium pentachlorophenol to remove the pathogens on the tree. Spraying 1 or 2 times in the initial flowering stage and full bloom period, commonly used medicines: 70% methyl thiophanate 1000 times liquid, 80% bacteriostatic WP 600 times liquid + help killing (or harming flat) 1 000 times liquid 50% benzoate 2 000 times solution, 50% carbendazim 1000 times solution, etc., can effectively reduce the rate of heart decay in harvesting period. In addition, the spraying of 0.4% calcium nitrate + 0.3% borax 2-3 times in the growth period can also reduce the rate of heart decay in the harvesting period.

(3) Biological control Starting from the germination of the apple tree, spray the apple to the micro-1000 times solution, once every 15-20 days, spray 4-5 times.
