How to prevent discoloration of paint?

The discoloration of paint mainly refers to the discoloration of varnish. The varnish was originally a clear, colorless, or very pale yellow color that turned brown or black. The color paint also has the phenomenon of discoloration, which is mainly manifested in the darker color of the paint.

1. The reasons for discoloration of paint may be as follows:

(1) The ester solvent in the varnish reacts with the iron container and turns black after it encounters water.

(2) Turpentine produces red brown pigment easily in the iron drum.

(3) The gold and silver powder and varnish are prone to acid etching, which makes the paint color green, dark, and lose luster.

(4) The storage period is too long and the sediment is discolored.

2. The methods of prevention and control are:

(1) For shellac varnish that is most susceptible to discoloration, store it in a non-metallic container.

(2) Add gold powder and silver powder before using varnish and do not store it in varnish prematurely.

(3) If the coating is discolored by precipitation, if it is not a quality problem, it can be used after it is fully stirred.
