Out of the misunderstanding of fertilization in high-yield cotton fields

First, the amount of fertilizer is less.

Cotton flowering and bolling period generally lasts from 50 to 60 days from the beginning of July to the end of August. It is the longest period of cotton growth period and an important period for cotton to form economic output. Therefore, this period of cotton requires the most fertilizer. Generally, the amount of fertilizer absorbed by the flowering and boll period accounts for 70% to 80% of the total fertilizer requirement. In view of this, the flower and bell fertilizer should be re-applied on the basis of adding base fertilizer. Some cotton farmers follow the habit of chasing urea with 10 to 15 kilograms of urea, fearing that fertilization will cause cotton to grow wild. Due to fertilizer restrictions, cotton production is hovering at a level of 200-250 kg. If you want to achieve a high production level of more than 300 kg per mu, the urea in the flower and boll period should be no less than 20 kg, so as to meet the demand of high-yield cotton fields. If the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer is insufficient, it can be mixed with nitrogen fertilizer to improve fertilizer efficiency.

Second, the topdressing is late.

In the past, it has been used in the past when the flower bell fertilizer was used to enter the belling period and the lower part was sitting 1 or 2 large bells. According to the fertility characteristics of cotton, the time of topdressing of flower bell fertilizer should be advanced to the initial flowering stage. The initial flowering period is from the beginning of the cotton field to the time when the fourth fruit branch begins to bloom, combined with chemical control and topdressing, so as to promote and control . When the flower boll fertilizer has a large amount of one-time application, it can be divided into two times, the first time in the initial flowering period and the second in the flowering bell period.

Third, top dressing before pouring.

When many cotton farmers are chasing urea, they always want to apply it before watering, or hear the weather forecast rain the next day, and rush to catch the fertilizer into the ground. This is actually a misunderstanding. There are two kinds of harms before or after pouring, one is easy to cause nutrient loss, the other is often caused by fertilizer damage, especially after the urea is suddenly watered or dissolved quickly, so that the soil concentration is locally increased, so that the cotton plant is Nutrients can not only be absorbed, but instead form a backward flow, causing partial abrupt collapse and death. Therefore, it is better to apply the flower bell fertilizer after pouring or deep ditching after the rain.

Fourth, cover top fertilizer too late, excessive. Cotton topdressing with topping fertilizer has a significant effect on preserving early autumn peach and increasing late autumn peach. However, topdressing should not be too late and the dosage should not be too much. The best topdressing time is from late July to early August, and urea is 5 to 7.5 kg per mu. Too late, excessive is not only easy to cause gluttony and late maturity, but also easy to cause premature death.
