Both methods have a time-consuming and laborious problem, which is how to quickly modify the mold surface according to the test model or CAE data. The Compensator is a CAD tool developed for GSM springback compensation based on GSM technology. It provides a solution to the above two problems and has the following advantages: ★ It can automate the rebound compensation process and greatly save time in modifying the mold profile. ★ The modified profile maintains the same surface topology and surface quality as the original profile. ★ No reverse process required The following two examples of the Compensator solution are illustrated by examples. 4.1 Using the physical verification method to modify the rebound The physical verification method is to modify the 3D model based on the point data of the measured physical object. The processing steps of the Compensator are as follows: 1) Obtain point data on the object by means of a coordinate measuring machine or a white light measuring instrument, and align the point cloud and the 3D surface according to the alignment command of ThinkDesign.
